The Board of Trade is the Government’s apex consultative body on trade and export-related matters, bringing together distinguished leaders from industry, commerce, manufacturing, finance, technology, and public policy to provide strategic inputs for strengthening India’s trade competitiveness and export growth.

Mr. Mohindroo’s nomination comes as India’s electronics manufacturing sector emerges as one of the country’s most dynamic growth engines. Under his leadership, the industry has worked closely with the Government to support the objectives of Make in India, Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the country’s broader ambition of becoming a global manufacturing and export hub.

Commenting on the nomination, Mr. Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA, said:

I look forward to contributing to the Board’s deliberations and working alongside fellow members and the Government to strengthen India’s competitiveness in global markets, deepen participation in global value chains, and accelerate our journey towards becoming a leading manufacturing and export powerhouse.”

The nomination also reflects the increasing recognition accorded to the electronics sector as a strategic pillar of India’s economic transformation and export-led growth agenda.

ICEA also congratulates Mr. Virat Bhatia, Managing Director, Apple India, and Mr. Jasbir Singh, CEO, Amber Enterprises India and other members, on their nomination to the Board of Trade.
