LilyPad Arduino

LilyPad Arduino is one of the members of Arduino family, it is specially designed for e- textiles and wearable application or wearable projects, it is unique in its shape and applications. In all the Arduino boards one thing is common i.e., input and output pins, beside from that we have operating voltage which turns on the board. But LilyPad Arduino doesn’t work on operating voltage it needs batteries that are rechargeable which are easy integrated fabric and clothes. Arduino LilyPad board is based on ATmega168 or ATmega328. LilyPad is same as other Arduino microcontroller which works similar as others. Note that it does not have USB port as UNO and MEGA we need an external hardware in order to program and monitor the Arduino Lilypad board.

Arduino Lilypad has 14 digital input / output pins out of which 6 are PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) enabled. Arduino Lilypad board has 6 analog pins which mean that it can read up to 6 analog sensors simultaneously. The programming language used by the Arduino LilyPad microcontroller is the C++ programming language. One can therefore connect up your LilyPad Arduino USB board directly to your computer using a USB cable to start with.
