Types of Arduino lilypad

There is a total of 5 types of LilyPad Arduino board and we can choose any one of them according to our project requirements.

  1. Arduino LilyPad Simple
  2. Arduino LilyPad USB
  3. Arduino LilyPad Simple Snap
  4. Arduino LilyPad USB plus
  5. Arduino LilyPad Main Board 328

1.Lilypad arduino simple

This Arduino LilyPad Simple board is one of the most popular boards for beginners to the Arduino. One can easily do beginner-level projects on this board. It is based on an AtMega328 microcontroller. The most specific reason to use this board is its spacious layout. There is much easier pin identification on this board. When we talk about stitching we have more space for that without

The fear of colliding pins on board. We need a built battery for this board it is convenient to select a LiPo battery for that. The best thing about this battery is that it is rechargeable; we can recharge it simply just by plugging the board into the USB port of our computer or by using a 5 V wall charger..

4.Lilypad arduino USB plus

This LilyPad Arduino USB plus the board is based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller. This board uses an FTDI programming interface just like Arduino USB. It is like an updated version to LilyPad Arduino USB having additional features, tabs, and labeling. It includes an RGB LED for quick prototyping without using any additional parts. 6 white LEDs in a row are used as simple data visualization or for indicator lights.

5.Lilypad arduino main board

This LilyPad Arduino mainboard is based on an ATMega328 microcontroller. In these LilyPad boards, the board has all ATMega328 pins open for connection purposes to the wearable project and comes in handy if a large number of input-output pins are required. A battery port or built-in battery is not present on this board. We have to supply power to this board externally by stitching power source positive and negative terminals to the + and – terminals of our board. For providing power connection and charging circuit to our board, we can also use a simple power board of LilyPad.
