At productronica 2025, the leading global trade show for the electronics manufacturing industry, Rohde & Schwarz will show how innovation and production go hand in hand. In hall A1, booth 375 of Messe München, visitors can explore the company’s end to end test solutions for efficient production – from component validation to end of line. Plus, they can learn about calibration and repair service as well as electronic manufacturing services from Rohde & Schwarz.
Small in size, big in impact: The new MXO 3 oscilloscope
In the spotlight at the Rohde & Schwarz booth will be the new MXO 3 oscilloscope, the first in its class featuring up to eight channels. The newly launched instrument is faster, more precise and more compact. Plus, it offers a combination of features that rival higher-class oscilloscopes, such as a real-time capture rate of up to 99% and hardware-accelerated functionality like math, spectrum or zone trigger for high-confidence troubleshooting in production. With all this functionality, it is still small enough to comfortably fit on a rack and light enough to be carried by hand.
Fast forward to results: The R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer
The R&S ZNB3000, introduced in February 2025, has already set a benchmark in the mid-range vector network analyzer market with its industry-leading measurement speed, scalability, and best-in-class RF performance. With the addition of new high-frequency models, the VNA addresses an even wider range of applications. At this year’s productronica, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate how the new R&S ZNB3000 – now covering from 9 kHz up to 54 GHz – helps engineers fast forward to results not only in production environments.
Comprehensive test solutions for various stages of electronics production
Throughout the booth, visitors will experience the company’s wide range of test and measurement solutions supporting the entire electronics production process – from basic component validation to final system verification. Demonstrations include component sorting using the R&S LCX LCR meter, delivering precise impedance measurements for accurate part classification, and frequency response analysis with the MXO 4 oscilloscope, enabling detailed characterization of circuit behavior. The lineup also features the R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer for superior signal integrity assessment in high-speed data cable testing and the R&S EPL1007 EMI test receiver for reliable electromagnetic compatibility validation across production environments.
Power analysis with ZES ZIMMER
Rohde & Schwarz recently acquired ZES ZIMMER Electronic Systems GmbH, a manufacturer of high-precision power measurement equipment, to complement its broad T&M portfolio and better address applications around electrification in the energy and mobility sectors. At the Rohde & Schwarz booth, visitors can learn how to reliably measure efficiency and determine losses in power electronics using the LMG671 power analyzer from ZES ZIMMER. The power analyzer measures the output-to-input efficiency of an electric drivetrain as a DUT and additionally provides the motor’s mechanical power through direct speed and torque measurement.
Comprehensive test solutions for the automotive industry
Rohde & Schwarz supports also the automotive sector with advanced testing solutions that optimize production efficiency and ensure the reliability of critical components. The R&S AREG800A automotive radar echo generator and R&S RadEsT radar essential tester enable cost-effective validation and calibration of radar sensors and ADAS functions, from lab verification to end-of-line production.
For in-vehicle infotainment and broadcast systems, the R&S SMCV100B vector signal generator and complementary analyzers simulate real-world RF environments to verify audio, video and data quality across AM, FM, DAB and other standards – optimized for efficient production testing.
In electric vehicle applications, an automated test system for wireless Battery Management System (wBMS) modules ensures rapid and accurate calibration, RF and DC testing. Rohde & Schwarz also showcases scalable Telematics Control Unit (TCU) test solutions, offering high accuracy, parallel testing for increased yield, and reduced lifecycle costs through on-site calibration and system scalability.
Advanced test solutions for wireless communications and RF components
Rohde & Schwarz delivers versatile test and measurement solutions designed to meet the demands of both R&D and production environments in wireless communications. The R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer provides high-throughput RF testing ideal for large-scale production lines.
The CMP180 radio communication tester enables comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 device testing for R&D, validation and production applications to ensure next-generation connectivity performance. For O-RAN and 5G component validation, the PVT360A performance vector tester offers precise signal generation and analysis capabilities in production and characterization environments.
In addition, the new FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer overcomes the limitations of traditional measurement methods with its multipath architecture. It enables cross-correlation technique to suppress inherent noise or supports wideband signal characterization for amplifiers and frequency converters, delivering the bandwidth and accuracy required for cutting-edge wireless system development.
Efficient production lines with tailored solutions
Moreover, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase precision-engineered solutions designed to optimize production environment setups and enhance line efficiency. At the booth, visitors can explore a rack-mounted test and measurement configuration, featuring the rack-optimized MXO 5C oscilloscopes and the PVT360A performance vector tester, demonstrating a production environment built for reliable validation, streamlined workflows, and maximized throughput.
In collaboration with PE Systems, Rohde & Schwarz will present automated double-pulse end-of-line (EOL) testing, enabling precise and repeatable measurements that drive consistency and efficiency in power electronics manufacturing
In a different demonstration, visitors can discover how the R&S IMAGER offers advanced defects and anomaly detection and inline quality assurance for production lines. Users in the pharmaceutical, food and logistic industries can leverage the solution’s millimeterwave imaging technology to see the unseen.
Furthermore, to help manufacturers secure and protect production sites and other sensitive infrastructures from malicious drones, Rohde & Schwarz will exhibit its ARDRONIS counter-drone solution, which detects, locates and counters RF guided drone threats.
