A cable is two or more running wires side by side and bounded, twisted, or braided together to form a single assembly. It is extensively used in building wiring for lighting power and control circuits permanently.

 Ribbon Electric Cables

  • Ribbon cables are also known as multiplanar cables. A ribbon cable is a flat, thin cable composed of multiple small-grade cables placed parallel to each other. With each core situated side by side, they form a wide-flat cable similar to a piece of ribbon. It has limited flexibility as it is thin in size. Ribbon cables are usually used in computer applications within internal peripherals.

Shielded Cables

  •  Shielded Cables consists of 1 or 2 insulated wires which are covered by a woven braided shield or aluminium Mylar foil for better signal transmission and removing irregularities in the frequency of power and external interference in radio. These cables transmit high voltage electric current and are protected by a shield. Shielded cables reduce and insulate the transfer of data or power from ‘electrical noise’ or ambient electromagnetic interference (EMI) found in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing. Shielding prevents crosstalk between cables near each other.

Twisted Pair Cables

  • A twisted pair cable comprises two separate insulated copper wires, which are twisted together and run in parallel. The copper wires are usually 1mm in diameter. One of the wires is used to transmit data and the other is the ground reference. It is used in telephone lines, DSL lines, LANs.

 Coaxial Cables

  • Coaxial cable is a kind of electrical cable consisting of an inner conductor surrounded by a concentric conducting shield, with the two separated by a dielectric. Most of the coaxial cables also have a protective outer sheath or jacket. The term “coaxial” refers to the inner conductor and the outer shield sharing a geometric axis. It is used in such applications as high-speed computer data busses, cable television signals, anconnecting radio transmitters and receivers to their antennas, computer networking  audio-video networking ,etc

Fiber Optics Cable

  • A fiber optic cable is made by drawing glass or a special type of plastic, which can transmit light from one end of the fiber to another end. Optical fiber cables use light signals to transmit data signals instead of traditional electrical signals. It has Faster Speeds, Longer Distances and Better Reliability.
