Riber wins production MBE system order for photonic component manufacturing in Europe

Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, has received an order for a production MBE system in Europe (for delivery in 2018).

The MBE 49 production system will be used to increase the customer’s manufacturing capacity for advanced photonic components. The components will enable a rapid increase in traffic in terrestrial and undersea optical fiber networks, complementing the deployment of fiber to consumers for very high-speed Internet access.
