Samsung Semiconductor India Names Rajesh Krishnan as New Managing Director

Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has appointed Rajesh Krishnan as its new Managing Director, marking a strategic move to strengthen India’s role in Samsung’s global innovation roadmap.

With over 30 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, Rajesh has shaped strategies, built high-performance teams, and driven growth across India and the US. At SSIR, he most recently led the Memory Division, spearheading advanced storage and memory solutions for more than two decades. His expertise spans computer architecture, compiler design, telecommunications, and flash storage solutions across embedded, server, and automotive domains, with a strong focus on DDR/HBM technologies fueling AI innovations.

Rajesh succeeds Balajee Sowrirajan, whose leadership significantly advanced SSIR’s growth. The appointment reflects Samsung’s commitment to expanding strategic partnerships and driving sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving semiconductor landscape.
