Bengaluru, September 16, 2025 — Arm today announced the inauguration of its new office, The Impact Hub, in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey in India. The inauguration was graced by Rene Haas, CEO of Arm, and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for IT & Railways, Government of India.
The new facility will focus on cutting-edge semiconductor research and development, including the design of chips at the advanced two-nanometre (2nm) node. With this, Arm becomes one of the few companies in India working on such a sophisticated technology node, further strengthening the country’s capabilities in advanced semiconductor design.
Speaking at the event, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India’s rapid progress in building a robust semiconductor ecosystem and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in positioning India as a global technology hub. “Smaller chips are more advanced, denser, faster, and more power-efficient than bigger ones,” the Minister noted, underscoring the strategic value of 2nm chip design.
