March 9, 2026 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now stocking the IW610 IoT Optimized Wi-Fi® 6 tri-radio system-in-chip (SoC) from NXP® Semiconductors. The IW610 family elevates connectivity and efficiency in next-generation smart homes and industrial automation environments. The IW610 SoCs are a versatile and reliable choice for smart home devices, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, smart appliances, gateways, and other Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications.

The NXP Semiconductors IW610 IoT family, now at Mouser, integrates Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5.4, and 802.15.4 radios into a compact solution. The Wi-Fi 6 subsystem offers improved network efficiency, reduced latency, and an extended range, while the Bluetooth LE radio supports high-speed data rates and long-range Bluetooth communication. With an 802.15.4 radio that facilitates Thread mesh networking, the IW610 SoCs are also ideal for Matter applications. The IW610 includes NXP’s EdgeLock® security technology, providing protection for secure boot, firmware updates, and lifecycle management. Supported by a range of module partners, IoT optimized Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio modules based on the IW610 are compatible with NXP’s i.MX MPUs, i.MX RT and MCX host platforms and offer multiple interfaces for connecting to external processors. Power management features include a deep-sleep mode, a low-power mode, an integrated high-efficiency buck DC-DC converter, and wake-up via general-purpose input/output (GPIO), host interface activity, and timers.

Featuring the IW610, the FRDM-IMX91 board, also available at Mouser, is a low-cost and compact development tool showcasing the NXP i.MX 91 applications processor and is well-suited for developing secure wireless applications.
