TDK Showcases Electric Vehicle Solutions at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) will showcase its latest components, power solutions and technologies for electric vehicles and EV fast-charging infrastructure at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo 2026, co-located with The Battery Show, October 13 to 15 in Detroit, Michigan (Booth #1405). Through product displays from TDK Corporation and TDK-Lambda, the booth will highlight technologies designed to support higher efficiency, power density, reliability and safety across EV powertrains, battery systems, charging equipment and supporting infrastructure.

At the TDK booth, featured technology will include:

Programmable power solutions: TDK-Lambda will feature its GENESYS+ programmable DC power supply series, which now offers optional EtherNet/IP and PROFINET communication interfaces for integration into Industry 4.0 and automated production systems. The booth will also feature GENESYS AG Power Booster Modules, now available with power ratings up to 45 kVA, supporting high-power testing and development applications.

High-voltage ceramic capacitors: TDK will showcase the improved 1,250 V CA MEGACAP series, including a 99 nF/1,250 V capacitor with Class 1 dielectric. Designed for high-voltage power electronics, the series is suited for resonant circuits in EV powertrains and charging systems.

Automotive film, hybrid polymer and aluminum electrolytic capacitors: TDK will highlight its broad portfolio of capacitors for energy storage and power conversion in demanding automotive applications. Featured products will include SMD hybrid polymer capacitors with high ripple-current capability and very low ESR, as well as upgraded vibration-resistant axial and solder-star aluminum electrolytic capacitors designed to provide higher ripple-current capability and lower power losses for improved DC-link efficiency.

TDK will also feature standardized modular xEV film capacitors for DC-link applications in powertrain inverters. These AEC-Q200-qualified film capacitors are designed to support varying capacitance and current requirements across electric vehicle platforms.

High-voltage contactors: Discover high-voltage contactors engineered to support reliable battery isolation, protection and power distribution in electric vehicle systems. These components are designed for critical high-voltage applications where dependable switching and system protection are required.

Automotive magnetics: TDK will highlight magnetic components for power management and signal control across EV applications, including high-power transformers and inductors for Power over Coax (PoC) in in-vehicle networks, onboard chargers, high-voltage inverters and other automotive systems.

Pulse and gate-drive transformers: The AMT series of pulse transformers provides a compact alternative to larger traditional toroidal transformers, helping reduce component size in space-constrained designs. TDK will also showcase compact SMD IGBT/FET gate-drive transformers for 500 V automotive battery systems, providing robust insulation and space-efficient integration for next-generation electric mobility.

Sensors and protective components: Find temperature and pressure sensors for monitoring critical operating conditions, together with protective components designed to support system safety and reliability across electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
