The new R&S HMP5050 power supply will expand the well-established R&S HMP series. Ahead of its market launch, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate the new model exclusively at electronica 2026 in Munich.

Rohde & Schwarz showcases the R&S HMP5050 5-channel power supply at electronica 2026 ahead of its market launch.
At electronica 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is presenting a new member of the well-established R&S HMP power supply series. Available in spring 2027, the instrument offers greater channel and power density as well as improved residual ripple of less than 350 microvolts RMS. It provides five channels with up to 180 W per channel and a maximum total output power of 560 W. Each channel can be configured for up to 15 A and 35 V.

For higher voltages, channels can be connected in series. For higher currents, channels can be connected in parallel. For higher total power, or for applications requiring up to 64 channels, several instruments can be connected and controlled centrally. Connected instruments synchronize automatically, enabling users to control and analyze all channels individually. These features make the R&S HMP5050 ideal for automated test systems in production and for any application that requires a precise multichannel power supply close at hand.

From November 10 to 13, 2026, visitors to electronica can discover the advantages of the new power supply at Booth A4.307. Rohde & Schwarz experts will use a demo setup to show how this power supply can supply multiple components and circuits at the same time and how channels can be interconnected.

The R&S HMP5050 power supply will officially launch in spring 2027 and will then be available from Rohde & Schwarz and selected distribution partners alongside the existing instruments in the series, the R&S®HMP2000 and R&S®HMP4000 .
