Four independently protected 24VDC outputs in a width of just 22mm, combined with functions for controlled startup and intelligent overload management, make the RACPRO1-4SP-BS a compact solution for industrial power distribution.

With the RACPRO1-4SP-BS, RECOM expands its RACPRO family with a compact electronic 4-channel fuse (e-Fuse) for industrial 24VDC power distribution. The unit is just 22mm wide and provides four independently protected outputs. It is available as the RACPRO1-4SP/24V/5A-BS with 4 x 5A and as the RACPRO1-4SP/24V/10A-BS with 4 x 10A. Each of the four channels has its own overcurrent limit. A potential fault on one channel does not affect the remaining channels.

For short-term load peaks, the RACPRO1-4SP-BS provides a 150% Power Boost for 5s and tolerates overloads above 150% for up to 100ms to avoid unnecessary tripping. Full output power is available up to an ambient temperature of 60°C. A controlled output voltage ramp-up and sequential channel startup with a 50ms delay per channel support safe startup even with highly capacitive loads.

In the event of an overload of the overall system, the channels are switched off in reverse priority order, allowing prioritised loads to remain active for longer. Users can select between Hiccup and Tripping modes. In the event of recurring overloads, Smart Hiccup mode extends the intervals between restart attempts, reducing the electrical and thermal stress on the e-Fuse and connected components.

LED indicators show the load status of each channel, which can be switched on and off individually. Current limits can be configured in offline mode. A DC-OK signal and remote reset are available for system monitoring, while push-in connectors enable tool-free wiring.

The RACPRO1-4SP-BS is suitable for applications including industrial and factory automation, building and process automation, power distribution, intralogistics, as well as infrastructure and control cabinet applications. The modules are certified according to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1, manufactured in Europe, and covered by a three-year warranty.

“The RACPRO1-4SP-BS combines several functions that are particularly important in practical applications: a compact design, individual channel protection, and straightforward handling. This allows us to make the protection of 24VDC loads in industrial applications as simple as possible,” says Michael Peters, Product Manager at RECOM.

Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorised distributors or directly from RECOM.
