Riber receives €1m order for evaporators

Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, has received an order worth more than €1m from a new customer for the supply of evaporators (for delivery in 2018) to the photovoltaic industry.

The evaporators will be used in thin-film deposition equipment, making it possible to manufacture photovoltaic cells using new materials compared with existing technologies.

Riber reckons that this commercial success could lead to repeat orders, as the customer will ramp up its production capacity in the future.
