Industry leaders share practical strategies for accelerating innovation, improving productivity and scaling engineering capabilities with AI

BANGALORE, India (July 29, 2026) – As products become increasingly software-defined and engineering systems grow more complex, organizations across industries are exploring new ways to improve productivity, accelerate innovation and bring products to market faster. At NI Days India 2026, engineers, technology leaders and industry experts came together to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) is helping address these challenges while enabling more efficient approaches to design, validation and test.

The event highlighted how AI is reshaping engineering workflows across semiconductor, transportation, aerospace and defense, industrial automation, life sciences and energy applications. Discussions focused on the growing complexity of modern systems, the increasing volume of engineering data and the need for connected workflows that help teams move more efficiently from design through validation and production.

During the event, Emerson demonstrated NI Nigel AITM, showcasing how domain-specific AI can help engineers accelerate tasks such as test development, code creation and system understanding. Attendees explored how AI-powered tools can reduce manual effort, simplify access to complex technical knowledge and help engineering teams focus on higher-value work.

“Engineering teams today are managing unprecedented levels of complexity as products become more connected, data-intensive and software-driven,” said Priyachandar Paramasivam, country head and director for Emerson’s test & measurement business in India. “NI Days India provided an opportunity for industry leaders to exchange ideas, share practical experiences and explore how AI can help engineers work more efficiently while maintaining confidence in their test and validation processes.”

Beyond hands-on demonstrations of AI-powered engineering tools, participants discussed the broader organizational changes required to successfully scale AI across engineering teams. Co-hosted by L&T Technology Services (LTTS), the event’s leadership forum brought together business and technology executives to discuss how organizations can navigate AI-driven transformation, scale advanced engineering capabilities and move from AI experimentation to real-world industrial impact. Discussions focused on managing growing system complexity, scaling AI adoption across engineering organizations and building connected engineering ecosystems that accelerate innovation across the product lifecycle.

Speaking at the event, Ashish Khushu, Chief Technology Officer, L&T Technology Services, said, “The next phase of AI adoption is about transforming engineering data into Engineering Intelligence. The real value lies in combining AI with deep engineering expertise to connect design, development, validation and operations, enabling organizations to innovate faster and make better engineering decisions at scale.”

Through events such as NI Days India, Emerson continues to bring together customers, partners and industry experts to explore emerging technologies, share best practices and address the engineering challenges associated with rapidly increasing system complexity.

Emerson also highlighted continued investments in its partner ecosystem across India, including the appointment of AIMIL as a distributor for Eastern India, helping expand regional access to advanced test and measurement technologies, local expertise and technical support.
