Nijmegen, July 2nd, 2019: Nexperia, the experts in discrete, logic and MOSFET components, today announced that key parts from its SOT23-packaged family of high-performance, general-purpose transistors and switching diodes are now fully-specified for operation up to 175°C degrees. Included in the range are industry-favourite high-speed switching diodes BAS16/21 and BC807/817 general purpose transistors.

The 175°C SOT23 devices also feature a 25% higher Ptot (total power dissipation) than basic 150°C rated parts. This enables customers to realise a high-temperature design for under-the-hood applications including gear boxes and motor drives, as well as LED lighting and other industrial uses. The parts are also qualified according to AEC-Q101 for high automotive reliability.

Comments Mark Roeloffzen, Vice President & General Manager of Nexperia’s Bipolar Discretes Business Group: “Nexperia is first to market with a 175°C portfolio of small-signal diodes and transistors in SOT23 further expanding the range of options designers have for high-temperature circuits. This is fitting since this year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the SOT23 package, invented – as Philips – by Nexperia. We still innovate and lead this market, shipping more than 30 billion devices annually, and remain committed to the important SOT23 business.”

With these latest releases, Nexperia is further completing its portfolio of 175°C diodes and transistors which now covers all performance classes up to 15A. The family of 175°C products are available in packages ranging from leadless DFN to leaded SMD and clipbond FlatPower (CFP) and LFPAK packages.
