Premiered at SEMICON India 2026, inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and the 25th CII Energy Efficiency Summit in the presence of Mr. Tejpreet Singh Chopra, Chairman, CII Energy Efficiency Council and Founder & Chairman, Bharat Light & Power. Danfoss India introduced its next-generation iC7 Ultra Low Harmonics Drive, setting a new benchmark for clean electricity, energy efficiency, and industrial resilience across the nation.

India’s rapid transition into a global high-tech manufacturing hub demands an uncompromised, hyper-efficient power grid. Electrical distortion and harmonic waste cost industrial facilities millions in wasted power, equipment downtime, and unnecessary Scope 2 emissions. The premiering of the iC7 drive directly targets these systemic inefficiencies, providing a scalable solution to optimize how Indian manufacturing consumes clean energy.

 Key Decarbonization & Operational Impacts:

• Eliminating Industrial Energy Waste at Source: Engineered with an integrated active front-end rectifier, the iC7 drive reduces Total Harmonic Distortion of Current (THDi) to below 3% while operating at a perfect 1.0 power factor. By eliminating electrical distortion at the source, the technology ensures near-zero wasted power across factory networks, directly supporting India’s national energy-efficiency mandates
• Upstream Resource Optimization & Lower Embodied Carbon: The solution enables industrial facilities to operate on 10% to 25% smaller transformers and backup generators without sacrificing performance or operational resilience. This right-sizing cuts material stress, lowers capital expenditure, and significantly reduces the embodied carbon footprint of new industrial developments
• Fortifying High-Tech Infrastructure: By safeguarding connected machinery from thermal stress and premature failure, the drive delivers the operational reliability required for sensitive, high-growth sectors like semiconductor manufacturing and advanced electronics
