India has approved a joint venture between Dixon Technologies and Vivo Mobile India, paving the way for expanded smartphone manufacturing capabilities in the country. The partnership aims to strengthen domestic electronics production, enhance local manufacturing capacity, and support India’s growing role in the global smartphone supply chain.

The collaboration brings together Dixon’s expertise in electronics manufacturing and Vivo’s smartphone technology capabilities to establish a stronger manufacturing ecosystem in India. The joint venture is expected to create new opportunities across the electronics ecosystem, including component suppliers, manufacturing partners, testing services, and associated technology providers, further supporting India’s ambitions to become a global electronics manufacturing hub.
