New Delhi / Singapore | April 17th, 2026 – India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), in partnership with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA), today convened a high-level, industry-led engagement in Singapore, bringing together leading semiconductor and electronics companies from India and Singapore to deepen collaboration across the value chain.
The engagement highlighted the strong complementarity between the two ecosystems. Singapore’s leadership in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment, and global supply chains aligns with India’s scale, policy momentum, and rapidly expanding manufacturing base.
This milestone followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ICEA and SSIA, establishing a structured framework for sustained industry collaboration and long-term partnership.
ICEA delegation comprised senior leaders from India’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, from India and Singapore while SSIA convened a strong representation of Singapore’s semiconductor industry. The platform enabled direct engagement between industry stakeholders, fostering partnerships, investment discussions, and technology linkages.
The discussions were centered on building a robust and trusted semiconductor corridor between India and Singapore, with a focus on:
- Strengthening semiconductor supply chain partnerships
- Advancing technology collaboration and co-development
- Enabling investment flows and joint ventures
- Opportunities across fabrication, ATMP/OSAT, equipment, materials, and precision engineering
- Industry perspectives on policy support, talent development, and ecosystem readiness
Together, both countries are positioned to unlock new growth opportunities, diversify global supply chains, and accelerate innovation across the semiconductor landscape. This ICEA–SSIA collaboration underscores the importance of sustained, industry-driven engagement in shaping the future of the semiconductor sector. By bringing industries together through structured platforms, both organizations aim to enable tangible outcomes in investment, co-development, and ecosystem development.

As India’s semiconductor journey has already gathered momentum, the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) has laid a strong foundation for semiconductor manufacturing in India, with 10 approved projects—including 2 fabs and 8 ATMP or OSAT units—attracting investments of around ₹1.6 lakh crore. With ISM 2.0, the focus now shifts to deepening the value chain across materials, equipment, IP, and supply chain resilience.
India sees strong potential for deeper participation from Singaporean companies across the value chain. I would like to assure that ISM is all set to support any further investments in the sector.
