Munich, Germany – 28 September 2026 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) introduces the XENSIV™ TLx49012, a family of four digital angle sensors based on Hall technology, designed for demanding motor control applications in automotive and industrial markets. As brushless DC motor adoption accelerates across automotive platforms and the robotics market enters a phase of rapid structural growth, the requirements for angle sensors that combine high accuracy, low latency, and minimal design-in effort are becoming a critical system-level constraint.

The defining capability of the Infineon XENSIV TLx49012 is a unique system self-calibration function that eliminates the need for customer-developed calibration routines and external reference encoders, reducing development effort and cost across the entire product lifecycle, from system design to end-of-line testing. Fully automatic initial calibration and continuous on-chip compensation enable both on-axis and off-axis mounting configurations, giving system designers meaningful flexibility without added complexity.

The family delivers best-in-class angle accuracy of less than 0.1° and an ultra-low latency of 1.5 µs, making it well suited for high-speed and highly dynamic motor systems where precise, real-time rotor position feedback is critical. The supported magnetic field range of 20 mT to 120 mT provides broad compatibility with standard magnet configurations used across motor platforms in both markets. Multiple interface options including SPI, ABZ, UVW, and PWM ensure straightforward integration into a wide range of motor controller architectures. Brushless DC motors are among the fastest-growing electromechanical components in the global market, driven by electrification in automotive and the scaling of robotics and automation infrastructure.  Automotive-qualified variants (TLE49012) are ISO 26262 compliant and achieve ASIL B, addressing the functional safety requirements of modern automotive and robotics motor control systems.

Infineon’s XENSIV sensor portfolio reduces design-in friction across a broad range of motor platforms while supporting consistent performance and qualification standards within each target market. The TLx49012 complements Infineon’s broader XENSIV sensor portfolio, which supports system designers across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications with a consistent development framework, ISO 26262 compliant design flows, and a market-leading cost and performance proposition backed by decades of sensor manufacturing expertise.

Availability
The XENSIV TLE49012 variants for automotive and XENSIV TLI49012 for industrial applications are available now. Further product information is available at www.infineon.com/angle-sensors. A product brief with full technical details is available at infineon.com/tlx49012-productbrief.
