The partnership will focus on developing Make in India electronic systems for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications across sectors such as industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, and defence. As part of the agreement, the two companies will localise critical semiconductor packaging in India, aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience and significantly reducing time-to-market for customers.

Kaynes Semicon and SiMa.ai will also co-develop edge AI and machine learning-enabled electronic systems designed for high-performance and mission-critical applications. A major highlight of the collaboration is the joint development of defence-focused AI solutions, including smart vision, robotics, surveillance, and autonomous systems for defence and aerospace use cases.

In addition, Kaynes Semicon will design and manufacture production reference boards for SiMa.ai’s MLSoC platforms, enabling faster evaluation and deployment of edge AI solutions. Commenting on the partnership, Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, said the collaboration strengthens India’s semiconductor ecosystem by building a trusted, globally competitive supply chain aligned with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
