Luminus Inc of Billerica, MA, USA, which designs and makes LEDs and solid-state light sources for the global illumination market, has selected Tel Aviv-based Artec Lantec, a boutique representative and stocking distributor of components and systems for Israel’s electronics industry, to represent it exclusively in Israel.

Luminus says that its LED technology is suitable for projection display and illumination applications that require high brightness, high efficacy and the efficient harnessing of light from a small point source.

“The only way to advance successfully in today’s global business arena is by forging mutually beneficial partnerships with the right partners,” comments Artec Lantec’s CEO Yoram Sror. “We have all the right connections to integrate Luminus into important projects on an ongoing basis.”

According to the report ‘LED lighting Market for Residential, Architectural and Outdoor Applications: Global Industry Perspective, Comprehensive Analysis, and Forecast, 2016 – 2022’ from Zion Market Research, the global LED lighting market is rising at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 13% from $26.09bn in 2016 to $54.28bn by 2022. It is reckoned that this is especially relevant for Israel, where many emerging technologies and solutions are created for the global market.
