New Albany, IN: Samtec, Inc., the service leader in the connector industry, has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 certification.

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) established the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program to strengthen the security of the defense industrial base and protect sensitive information. The final rule making CMMC contractually enforceable was issued by the DoD in September 2025, with implementation starting on November 10, 2025.

Samtec achieving certified CMMC level 2 compliance further strengthens the company’s cybersecurity posture by confirming alignment with NIST SP 800-171. The certification confirms the implementation of 110 security controls, reducing the likelihood of data breaches and safeguarding sensitive information.

The independent third-party assessment by a CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) provides assurance to our customers, including prime contractors and the DoD, that Samtec continues to uphold its commitment to securely handling sensitive information.

“Samtec is in the first 1% of companies to achieve CMMC Level 2 certification, with up to 220,000 companies in the Defense Industrial Base expected to participate,” said Mark Bobo, Corporate Director of Global Compliance. “Samtec has consistently set the benchmark for excellence in interconnect solutions and technology and now illustrates that same commitment to safeguarding controlled unclassified information (CUI).”
