  • TDK Corporation of America and TDK-Lambda Americas will display solutions for xEVs and fast charging in Detroit, MI, October 8-10, 2024, at booth #2411 and #2528 respectively

September 18, 2024

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) announces its upcoming participation at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo. TDK will present its latest solutions from TDK Corporation of America and TDK-Lambda Americas for electric vehicles, fast charging, and more. The event taking place October 8-10, 2024 at Huntington Place, Detroit, Michigan will showcase two TDK booths and technology solutions: #2411 (TDK Corporation of America) and #2528 (TDK-Lambda Americas).

At booth #2411, TDK will present products driving future mobility with its broad product portfolio for electric vehicles and EV fast charging. Among those key products are film, ceramic, and aluminum electrolytic capacitor technology, temperature and pressure sensors, protective components and solutions, magnetics including inductors and transformers, and more.

Featured solutions at the TDK Corporation of America booth include:

  • Sensor products for BEV e-Motor control: including the new fast response immersion temperature sensors for battery coolant, refrigerant loop, and e-motor cooling systems; high voltage temperature sensors for BDU / BEC, e-motor and charging control; and high accuracy and robust TMR angle sensors.
  • Permalloy Flexield film material: ideal for low-frequency noise suppression in EVs, ultra-thin, lightweight, and offers highly effective shielding against unwanted interference.
  • SMD hybrid polymer capacitors: with very high ripple current capability and very low ESR designed for demanding automotive applications.
  • Magnetics: including high power transformers and inductors for in-vehicle networking for PoC (power over coax), onboard chargers, HV inverters, and other applications.
  • Distributed air gap ferrite cores: featuring increased power density and improved thermal behavior, with cost-efficient automatic production.
  • xEV film capacitors: a standardized modular capacitor for DC links in powertrain inverters, AEC-Q200 qualified, designed to meet varying capacitance and current requirements.
  • New SMD 2220 900V CeraLink capacitors: featuring a high capacitance and high current handling with exceptionally low parasitic coefficients.
  • New HV45 Series of high-voltage contactors: features a high short-circuit current rating of 12kA, designed to meet the demands of high-voltage and high-current DC applications.
  • New µPOL DC-DC converter FS160* power modules: offers full telemetry and increased performance in a 3.3 mm x 3.3 mm x 1.35 mm package.
  • High-performance Neodymium and Ferrite magnet solutions: improves the efficiency of drive motors for EVs.
  • New MEGACAP MLCCs for automotive: features metal frames and a 3-line structure that helps reduce ESR by optimizing the materials of the metal frame.

At booth 2528, TDK-Lambda Americas will highlight its Advanced and General-Purpose Programmable DC power supplies for the automotive test & measurement market – specifically for use in EV and hybrid vehicle systems, subsystems, and component testing.

Featured solutions include:

  • Programmable DC power supplies and DC electronic loads: including the Genesys™ Series (750W-15kW), the GENESYS+TM Rack-Mount platform (1kW-22.5kW), Rack DC Systems (30kW-90kW), and the SFL DC Electronic Loads (300W/1kW).
