Hamamatsu announces completion of new building

Shingai factory extension to increase capacity of opto-semiconductors

Japanese firm Hamamatsu Photonics has announced the completion of a new building no. 1 at its Shingai Factory to increase the manufacturing capacity of opto semiconductor devices.

The new building will be dedicated to the assembly and inspection in the manufacturing process. With its completion, it will enable the company to satisfy the growing demand for photo sensors and light emitters in automotive, x-ray nondestructive inspection systems, industrial equipment, and other applications.

Operations are scheduled to begin in May 2017.
