TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) will exhibit its custom sensing solutions for physical AI applications at Augmented World Expo (AWE), the world’s top XR+AI Event, in Long Beach, Calif., June 16-18, 2026. TDK sensing solutions are trusted globally by leading OEMs for augmented reality eyewear, gaming devices, and wearables. TDK sensors capture data from the users’ experience — what they hear, see, feel and how they move — and that data is processed on-chip, with TDK sensor fusion software to enable the augmented reality features users love.

TDK solutions offer highly accurate position and proximity sensing, movement and audio detection, time-of-flight sensing, and on-chip edge intelligence. Additionally, TDK sensors are tiny in size to fit lightweight wearable designs and operate at ultra-low power for extended battery life.

“We’re closer than ever to seeing augmented reality in everyday eyewear, and sensors are at the core of enabling this mass adoption,” said Omar Abed, CTO of InvenSense, a TDK group company. “I’ve worked on sensor technology for more than 20 years, and it is exciting to finally see the advancement of ultra-low power sensors, edge intelligence, and miniaturization that can enable compelling products to enter the market and drive adoption for the next generation of AR glasses.”

On June 18 at 1p.m., InvenSense CTO Omar Abed will present: “AI Integrated XR/Smart Glasses and the Next Human Machine Interface” on the AWE XR-Enablement track stage. The presentation will explore sensing approaches and design strategies shaping smart glasses innovation, along with areas where further development is needed to bring the technology to wide adoption.

At TDK booth #1234, technology highlights will include:

Sensors in smart glasses: MEMS and TMR sensing technologies, together with sensing software, enable precise motion tracking, orientation, and immersive user experiences in next-generation wearables.

Sensors in gaming: TMR and MEMS sensing solutions enable high-performance features in gaming applications, delivering precision in keyboards, steering wheels, pedals, and controllers.

MEMS microphone with Acoustic Activity Detect: Low-power audio solutions facilitate always-on sensing and intelligent voice capture for context-aware audio AI applications.

Sensor software solutions: Advanced sensor fusion software enables intelligent sensing, context awareness, and system-level optimization across a wide range of applications.

InvenSense, a TDK group company, has been an innovator in MEMS sensing technology for augmented reality and gaming applications for more than 15 years. Learn more at https://invensense.tdk.com or e-mail inv.sales.us@tdk.com.
